Wednesday Was WONDERFUL!!

Good Evening Artists and Parents!

Today was fun!

We went crazy over flowers, flowers and more flowers in the morning session! We used the sewing machine again and made the most precious handbags. We even made some hair accessories to wear on the way home!

In the afternoon, we finished our fancy pin cushions and made glittery spoon art creations! We also dabbled in skin care...with scented salt scrub.

Well Mrs. Mitrani, where are all of these incredible projects? Where are the photos we've been waiting for?

I probably took at least 30 photos of today's events.

I just about fell out of my chair just now when my disc was NOT in my camera. How is it that it still let me click photos? Who knows?

PLEASE have your daughters bring today's projects back tomorrow! Pretty, pretty please? I'll take them again and put them right on the site!

Tomorrow's Plan:

Morning girls will be making self portrait painted scenes on heart pillows.
Afternoon girls will be making self portrait canvases.

Second Day of Friendship and Art!

More fabric...More Sewing...Awesome Bracelets...lots of fun!

Both AM and PM girls worked so hard today creating!!

AM girls made beaded memory wire bracelets with steel stamped hearts and lip gloss.

PM Girls made Floral Wrist Bands and Pin Cushions.

Day One...FUN TIMES!

What a fantastic start to the best art camp EVER! Morning session had a blast sewing up aprons...from scratch! Afternoon girls added darling ruffles and trim to muslin tote bags. Everyone started sketching in their decorated artist book, and personalized art tins. Wow!

Getting Ready for Creative Fun!

Ready to get started? Monday is just around the corner!

 Fabrics, trims, inks, stamps, papers, canvas, and beads...oh my! 

We'll start off Monday with hand and machine sewing. Girls in the morning session will be making aprons out of fun fabrics. The afternoon girls will be using fabrics to cover muslin totes. We'll also be decorating supply cansisters and starting in our sketch books. Snacks and lemonade for all!

For those staying throughout the day, lunch will be served at 12:15.

Art Camp Update!

Mrs. Mitrani's Summer camp registration is now closed. We have a full house, and a lot of fun ahead!!

Art Camp 2012 Registration Information

It's time for Mrs. Mitrani's 4th Annual Art Camp for Girls!

Check out the current issue of Create With Me Magazine! Our art camp is featured in a four page spread! How exciting!

Registration for the 2012 camp has started!!

Below are descriptions for each day of camp. If interested, please email me with desired session at mendytexasart@yahoo.com. I will then attach by email: a registration form, camp details, photo release, and payment form.

This year we'll be dabbling in ink, paint, machine sewing, steel stamps, glitter, beading, fleece, fabric, and so much more!

Session One (grades 3-5):
June 11-15.....9:00 am-noon$140 plus $30 art supply fee
Refreshments Included

Machine Stitched Ruffled Aprons
Organization Jars
Beaded Bracelets
Pretty Smile Lip Gloss
Paper and Fabric Flowers in a Pouch
Self Portrait Painted Hearts
Texas Rodeo Cowgirl Sash and Cowgirl Tea Party

***Students may sign up for both sessions--Projects will be completely different. Each session will feature a Cowgirl Rodeo Tea Party celebrating friendship and Girl Power!

***Students signing up for both sessions may stay and enjoy a "tea-party" style lunch while viewing "vintage" cartoons from 12:00-1:00. $25 for the week. Please note that this is only offered for those going all day.
Camp fees are not refundable. Art supplies will be given on missed days.

Summer is just around the corner, and Mrs. Mitrani's Art Camp for Girls will be here before you know it!
