Day Two! Sew and Glue!

We started off like lightening today!

Morning girls created darling PJ night shirts using a very unique water resist technique. The shirts needed to dry overnight, so the fun will continue tomorrow! We also machine stitched lavender sachets for our drawers at home. Lastly, we made floral pillow cases and stuffed them. We added a personal touch by making our own monograms out of felt.

Afternoon friends enjoyed starting their PJ cropped pants, to be continued tomorrow.  We also made two wooden charms using our Artsy Chick stamps by Kecia Deveney of Lemoncholy Studio. We used water color pencils to make them pop! We ended our workshop making a fabric circle flower from scratch. We glued it on a belt/scarf. We'll be making more of these!

Both sessions had fun with precious Julie Nutting's collage dolls. They created mix and match clothing for them. Both also worked on their daily art journals, writing about today's art techniques, new words, and sketches of projects.

We'll be finishing our big projects tomorrow! I can't wait!

For those staying all day tomorrow, our menu will be:
Chicken Poppers
Shoe String Potatoes
Fresh Fruit
Tea Cakes

Artfully yours,
Mendy Mitrani
